There is only one purpose to burn money like this: let the market see that children’s dramas can be hot, and then let the domestic market to solve the phenomenon that children’s theme works were monopolized by the United States and Japan at that time. At the same time, another thing the Ministry of Propaganda is doing is to support the rise of the local animation industry. Now it seems that this goal has been achieved. Since 2005, there have been many high-value children’s theme IP to do.
After that, the youth TV series “Happy Planet” can be produced technically and spatially in China, and it will come to “Fire Junior King” and “Balala Little Devil”. But that’s already 2005 and 2008.
But The Fire Junior King, Balala Little Devil are different from Family with Children. The commercial logic of the series produced by the Aofei culture (the predecessor of the Aofei toys) is closer to that of American and Japanese animation. The main way to make money is to sell derivatives (all kinds of toys). Teleplay itself is toy advertising. Therefore, actors’fame and skills are not the main consideration in the selection of roles.
